Club Competitions 2009/2010
These images are my entries for the Print and the Projected Digital Image competitions in the 2009/10 season of Hertford and District Camera Club, where I've been a member for more than 35 years. Like most other UK photo clubs we have a number of competitions through the season – for colour and monochrome prints and for projected images – with the aim of showing off our work while receiving helpful criticism from visiting judges. For this year's competitions I'm continuing to draw on images taken on my five-week 'Grand Tour' in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic in the autumn of 2008. They're supplemented by pictures of Vienna from a follow-up trip in June 2009, and even with some new photography from here in the UK! Most were taken on the Nikon D300, but at least three this year are from the compact Nikon CoolPix P5000 – technical details with the larger images.
