Club Competitions 2008/2009
These images were my offerings for the print competitions in the 2008/9 season of Hertford and District Camera Club, where I've been a member for an unbelievable 35 years. Like most clubs we have a number of competitions through the season, with the aim of showing off our work and receiving helpful criticism from visiting judges – hopefully our photography improves over time as a result, both artistically and technically. All my competition entries this season were from my five-week 'Grand Tour' in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic – photos, diary and other details for which are HERE. All were taken on the Nikon D300. In fact I missed the first two print competitions due to being away on the Tour and then not having time to make prints when I got back, but this year's numbers were made up by entries in our fledgling Projected Digital section, which has now joined the Colour Slides competition – how much longer will slides continue, I wonder?
